The monument is located in the southern part of Shaulder village and on the right bank of Arys River. Geographical coordinates: 42Т448460 UTM 4735889. It was investigated by the South Kazakhstan archaeological expedition in 1948 - 1949 (N.Bernshtam) and Otrar archaeological expedition in 1969 – 1970 (K.A.Akishev). Triangular shaped monument’s total area is 180 m south – east corner, 160 m south – west corner, 190 m northern part, the height is 15 m. there is a flat land on top which total area is 75x60 m. There were obtained red and black engobed unglazed ceramics on the modern cemetery. There were also found around 3100 Chagatai silver coins in the territory. The findings are in the funds of Otrar State archaeological preservation museum and South Kazakhstan historical and regional museum.
